EQO Foundation recognizes the importance of roles models and mentors in the life of any individual.
Young people particularly, students are at a stage in life where they need strong role models and
mentors to guide them in making choices that will shape their future. Often times, the need is not
financial, but ignorance about how the world works. Our mentorship program is to aimed at putting
students in contact with mentors who are willing to help these students navigate the arduous journey of
life.
Our mentorship program is for two years, after which the mentee qualifies to be a mentor for other
young people. The Foundation maintains a pool of voluntary vetted mentors who will be matched with
prospective mentees depending on common interests and future aspirations. The program is opened to
students at all level of education. Basic education level students will have second cycle or tertiary
education students as mentors. Second cycle education students will mostly have tertiary student
mentors and tertiary education students will have mentors from our rich pool of professionals in various
fields of industry.
